Terms of Use

1. Operator

Locality is operated by Aleksandr Vladimirov, Narva, Estonia. For service or legal questions, contact aleks.half.time@gmail.com.

2. Service

Locality provides API-based Estonian address search, postal lookup, reverse geocoding, API key management, documentation, usage tracking, subscriptions, and related user cabinet features.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account and API keys. You must notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. API Keys

API keys are confidential. You must not publish them publicly, commit them to public repositories, or expose them in client-side applications without appropriate protection. We may revoke, rotate, limit, or disable keys when needed for security, abuse prevention, non-payment, or terms enforcement.

5. Packages and Limits

Packages may include limits such as monthly request quota, query-per-second limits, number of API keys, dashboard access, and other operational restrictions. Requests may be rejected if a key is invalid, a request is above the configured limit, an IP restriction does not match, or the account is not in good standing.

6. Billing and Subscriptions

Paid packages are billed through Stripe. By starting a paid package, you authorize Stripe to charge the payment method according to the selected subscription terms. Subscription management, payment method updates, invoices, plan changes, and cancellation are handled through Stripe Checkout and Stripe Customer Portal.

Upgrades may take effect immediately and may be prorated by Stripe. Downgrades or cancellations may take effect at the end of the current paid period depending on Stripe settings and the selected action. After a paid subscription ends, the account may be moved to the default free package and free-package limits will apply.

7. Acceptable Use

You may use the service only for lawful purposes. You must not overload the service, bypass authentication or rate limits, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with other users, resell access without permission, or use the service to support illegal, harmful, or abusive activity.

8. Data and Results

Address, postal, and geocoding results are provided for application integration. You are responsible for evaluating whether results are accurate and suitable for your use case, including logistics, compliance, customer communication, billing, or operational decisions.

9. Availability

We aim to keep the service reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Access may be affected by maintenance, infrastructure issues, security incidents, provider outages, payment issues, or other events outside our control.

10. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, limit, or terminate access if we detect abuse, security risk, non-payment, violation of these Terms, or activity that could harm Locality, infrastructure, data, or other users. You may stop using the service at any time and may cancel paid subscriptions through Stripe Customer Portal.

11. Privacy

Personal data is processed as described in the Privacy Policy. By using the service, you acknowledge that API usage, account, and billing data may be processed to provide and secure the service.

12. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties of uninterrupted availability, perfect accuracy, or fitness for every purpose. Locality is not liable for indirect loss, lost profits, business interruption, or decisions made based on API results, except where liability cannot be limited by law.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms when the service, packages, billing, or legal requirements change. Continued use of the service after changes become effective means acceptance of the updated Terms.
